Twenty-fifteen brought change, change for the well-known Melbourne bar, hidden in the basement of Melbourne’s CBD, shielded from the everyday bustle, only to become alight at night. The once popular Ondergronds is now under the knife for a major makeover. This year brings a new venture ‘fresh off the boat’ from Japan: Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen.

Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen encapsulates and embraces the encumbering 40 year long tradition of Japanese ramen, but with a new modern and innovative twist  capturing that culture that is Melbourne. Here is a glimpse of the renovations so far (Week 1, Demolition):
